Balai Besar Riset Pengolahan Produk dan Bioteknologi Kelautan dan Perikanan (BBRP2B) – Research Center for Marine and Fisheries Product Processing and Biotechnology is a governmental research institution under coordination of and responsible to Agency for Marine and Fisheries Research, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. The institution was established on the basis of Acts of Minister of Marine and Fisheries, No. PER.8/MEN/2005 dated the 29th of August 2005. The first establishment was conducted on August 1st, 1964.

BBRP2B has a variety of research programs within the following areas: product processing, product development, food safety and environment, processing engineering, biotechnology, and assessing the application of research results based on the technical policies set up by Head of Agency for Marine and Fisheries Research.
